School Holiday Activities


The information below comes directly from the external clubs and not the responsibility of Horfield CE Primary School.

Please have a look below at various externally run activities that are happening and these will be updated as soon as the clubs send in their information.


Premier Sport Holiday Clubs are returning to Horfield to host a holiday club during the Summer holidays every Thursday and Friday from 9am til 4pm, either having half days: 9-12 or 1-4pm.   Activities include football, dodgeball & tag rugby and creative performing arts activities.  To book up please contact Premier direct on 01953 499040 or 


Shine Sports are launching a new club for children in Year 6 & above.  These are days for children in Year 6, 7 and 8 who don't want to be at a "holiday club" but are too young to be left alone all day.  4 different days are planned, running from 9am til 5pm on Mondays including Laser Combat, Water Sports, Aqua Venture at Cotswold Water Park and Inflatable swim fun.  There will also be a chill out room available with no structure, just X box, Fifa tournament, table tennis etc.  Sounds great!  Log on to  for more details.

Shine Sports are also holding clubs for the younger children as well throughout the summer holidays.  They are from Monday 23rd July in 4 different locations and include activities such as street dance, creative workshops, karate workshops, disco freestyle, dodgeball, mini football and many more activities.  Children starting Reception this year through to Year 7 are all very welcome.  All activities are available to book at 


Horfield Leisure Centre are running  activities over the Summer holidays.  They are for all ages from 8.30am until 5.30pm.  Please call them direct on 0845 456 3233 or look online:  


School's out Henleaze Summer Holiday Club

The scheme is running from 23rd July to 4th September at Henleaze Infant School (week commencing 27th August will be at St Peter's Church Hall) and has a fantastic programme of activities to choose form. With tipi and seashell jewellery making, a sensory truck visit and ever-popular quad bikes, the children will have a great summer of fun.  There are also some off-site visits planned as well.

The club costs £25 for a full day (8.15 to 5.30) or £17.50 for a half day.  You can sign up to just one day, multiple days or the full week.  Off-site and some activities have additional costs.  To book, please visit their website: Please note this applies to their Summer Holiday club.

Schools Out Henleaze also runs during other holidays for children aged 4 to 12 and run a wide range of daily activities.  Children from any school are welcome.  Full days and half day options are available, please visit their website: 



Bristol Family Cycling Centre have a Summer holiday programme for all levels.  A lot of the sessions are drop in so no need to book.  They also have a wide range of bikes and inclusive cycles to use.  Timetables and prices are available on their website: . Please note they are closed on August Bank Holiday Monday.  The Bristol Family Cycling Centre is based at Bamfield in Whitchurch.
